  • •4 tbsp. of flour

  • •3/4 c. almond milk (or any plant milk)
  • •1 teaspoon sugar
  • •Any vegetable oil to grease the pan
  • •Cinnamon to taste


What is the best way to serve this dish?
It’s best with fresh berries or jam, maple syrup, yogurt or just sprinkled with powdered sugar. You can also improve your French toast by adding some unique flavors:
• Grate an orange peel.
• Add your favorite liquor.
• Sprinkle with chocolate chips.
Which bread is best for this casserole?
You can use any type of bread that you like. I used plain soft white bread, but you can also use whole-grain sandwich bread, good challah or even croissants – that would be fantastic!

If you are preparing breakfast or brunch and you need to feed a crowd, this French toast is a great choice!


Step 1

First, mash the banana.

Step 2

Then add flour, cinnamon and sugar. Mix.

Step 3

Gradually pour in the plant milk and stir.

Step 4

Slice the sliced bread diagonally so that it fits well into the baking dish.

Step 5

Lightly grease the baking dish and put the bread in it.

Step 6

Pour the resulting liquid onto the bread. Let soak for at least 20 minutes.

Step 7

Preheat the oven to 356 degrees Fahrenheit (180 C).

Step 8

Cover the casserole dish with aluminum foil and bake for 20 minutes, then remove the aluminum foil and continue baking for another 20 minutes, or until the French toast hardens.

Step 9

If desired, garnish with fresh berries and sprinkle with powdered sugar before serving.
