  • 1 t. baking soda
  • 1¼ c. flour
  • ½ t. salt
  • 3 very ripe medium bananas
  • ¾ c. sugar
  • ½ T. plain soy yogurt
  • ½ T. vegetable oil

Try cooking it with me and decide for yourself what name is best for it.

You can make it very quickly – preparing the batter will take 15 minutes maximum. The taste is magical. I think that, if you add nuts or dried fruits, then it will turn out even more satisfying and aromatic.

But, of course, the first time you make it, it’s better to stick to the basics, and only then experiment to your liking.


Step 1

Preheat the oven to 180° C (356° F). While the oven is warming up, let’s make the batter.

Step 2

Use a blender to mash the bananas into a puree. In a medium-sized bowl, combine flour, soda, salt, and sugar. Add soy yogurt, banana puree and vegetable oil to the resulting mixture. Mix gently. The batter is ready!

Step 3

Prepare a baking dish by covering the bottom with parchment paper and greasing with vegetable oil. Put the batter in the mold and bake in a preheated oven for about 55-60 minutes. It is ready when a toothpick inserted in the center comes out clean. If it gets dark too quickly, cover it with foil. Do not remove from the mold for 30 minutes.

Step 4

Store banana bread in airtight containers at room temperature for no longer than 5 days.
